Any Hope with 2 yr. old Lab
I have just recieved a two year old lab from my parents and was wondering if anyone has successfully trained a dog that isn't a puppy anymore to retrieve properly. The dog has not had any previous retrieval experience except the usual game of "fetch" in the yard. It is overall a bright dog but any ...

Turkey
Sounds gluttonous to me. No reason to kill two birds (turkeys that is) with one shot. What does that prove? Maybe that you need to learn what is behind your target or the patterning of your shotgun. Looks like someone needs to go take their hunter safety course again.

When you donate blood they ask if you've had butt sex, I guess since they all do then that is what degates them from being able to donate.

Frog Giggin' Time?
I'm starting to hear them a little more. Just wanted to know when you guys think it's gonna be warm enough to make it worth while. Anyone ever had good luck in March or is this still a little early?

Decoy Repair
Hey BUSTIN' DUCKS, you ever gone diver hunting for bluebills and buffleheads? They don't drop vertical like greenheads in timber do. When buffleheads come across the spread six inches off the water sometimes you have to sacrifice a deke or two.

Best Way to Repair Decoys?
After this season my spread took quite a beating, especially from the diver hunts. Just wanted to know the best way to patch all of the little holes in them when they got peppered?

Bald Eagle
I've had a bald eagle attack and take off with a foam turkey decoy. He went about three hundred yards before he realized something wasn't right and dropped it. If they would try and eat a turkey, I wouldn't put it past them to eat duck.

band
I've killed a couple of woodies from that same company. Just give the 800 number a call and they will get your address and send you the information about the bird (age, where it was banded etc.) Congrats.

Bama Duck, When you wrote "When would a wild duck come into contact with the flu virus?" you must not have been using your thinking cap there big guy. Viruses spread through many populations just as they do in human populations, but through different modes. Influenza is very prevelant in wild ...

For You Biologists Out There
With all of the talk about low numbers of birds seen in the lower Mississippi flyway this year I was wondering if anyone has thought about this:
With the large number of contracted flu viruses this year I was wondering if the ducks could have been affected as well. Avian Influenza affects ...

flipped boat
The three at Matthews went down when they tried to pile in about 500 pounds of themselves into a little aluminum boat that was probably rated for around 300 lbs. They said the bow went under first, and as it did they had the sense to immediatly flip the boat over so that they could get some air ...

Wetsuit
They wouldn't happen to be the group of three that I saw at Matthews last week that flipped their boat? They were trying everything to locate those last two guns that fell out.
