Re: Springfield Armory XDS
Got an XDS right after they came out. I have a full size XD 45 an have enjoyed it but to large to CC. The XDS fit the bill with a crossbreed mini tuck. XDS is very easy to carry and I don't think I'd like to have the larger grip of the XDM in my waistband.
Re: Springfield Armory XDS
I love the XDs. I found the increased muzzle flip took some getting used to on double tap +1 drills but that's common in most subcompact frame pistols. Slightly different muzzle fall timing on the second shot from what my old Glock 27 was. You should be real happy with your purchase.
Re: Springfield Armory XDS
Shot the XD and M&P, and for my $$$, the M&P fit better but both are GREAT guns. Plan on adding an M&Pc .40 for CCW and getting the wife an M&Pc 9. The ergos on the M&P were just a little better and muzzle flip was less noticeable. Good choice either way, now go throw some lead downrange!

Try shooting that little short barrel LCP, Im deaf but after my first weekend of that little joker Im completely deaf
Heck my LCP is not bad at all compared to my Kimber Ultra Carry, first time I shot it I thought someone had punched me in the ear it hurt so bad. Have not pulled the trigger again without protection.

I've got the shield that I carry daily and i absolutely love it. Not too heavy and very slim, and is actually pretty accurate

Bought the gun and headed to camp that afternoon. Burned some rounds on the lake bank that afternoon and found out it's a shooter. Very accurate, and the recoil I was worried about was not bad at all. Bought the 7+1 magazine as well. Its bigger than an LC9, but I wanted to serious firepower. This is a sweet little pistol and one that I think Ill enjoy shooting alot.

I think my brother in law is about to get an XDs since my sister has kinda taken his Shield away from him! I'm excited to shoot the XDs. I may end up gettin one if the Shield 40 doesn't get easier to find. I really want to stick with 40SW for my carry guns since most all of the ones I have now are 40SW's but I wont lie, the XDs is kind of growing on me!
Any of you guys that have them, have y'all had any malfunctions when shooting them? Failure to feed, failure to ejects, etc? The few people I've talked to who have them have had no issues with them. Just curious as folks put more rounds through them!

I havent ran enough down it to have any kind of foul up, but will keep you posted. Only thing I notice, is when chambering that first round, it takes a little effort to get the slide all the way back for that big bullet. Will probably end up being a non issue, and will more than likely loosen up more over time.
