Beretta Extrema 2 or benelli Super black eagle II
Re: Beretta Extrema 2 or benelli Super black eagle II
Extrema 2 is the way to go. Duck hunt 45 plus days a year, turkey hunt, dove hunt and still have yet to have any issues

Two totally different guns in the way they operate, and how they feel.
I would shoot both before I purchased one over the other.

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

got to go with the Benelli, i have a old m1 thay has been flawess, just picked up a new m2 with comfort tech stock, thought that was all hipe , but it does cut down on recoil, one other thing, these guns are are a breeze to clean, i am a stickler on keeping them clean that way as MR PHILL SAYS, THEY GO BOOM , BOOM BOOM

Seen very few berettas on here for sale but lots of benellis. Take that for what it's worth.. I still shoot the ole 870
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

That's the one you should get then.
Anything else you've heard is irrelevant. Both guns are ultra reliable with proper care.
...EXACTLY
Most people will recommend the gun that they shoot. By saying another gun is better is admitting they made the wrong choice when purchasing a gun, and nobody like admitting they're wrong. Nobody is going to buy a berreta and say the benelli is better. (unless they have both)
For example: I shoot an 870 and have never had a problem. There is no way I would ever buy an auto to take duck hunting. I believe there are way too many moving parts in an auto and have seen many jam up due to trash getting in them. Plus i have a hard time tossing a $1200 gun in the bottom of a boat then climbing all over it. But again, that's just my opinion.

Like the other guys said, shoot both.I have a SBE 2 and I am very pleased with it ,but have also heard nothing but good things about the extrema.

Good advise--better buy the one you HIT with....one shot on target is better than 3 misses.....see it a lot...gun looks good, gun has good reports, best buy--whatever, if you can't hit with it--you will sell it soon----if you haven't shot them both , you need to do so (probably at least 25 clays each)MemphisStockBroker wrote:Two totally different guns in the way they operate, and how they feel.

Ok, I wouldn't worry about either one in the cold wet and nasty. Carried my xtrema2 to alaska last year, salt water, shells that were corroded, and a gun that has been through 3 seasons of tough use and it never missed a beat...never had to even think about breaking out my benelli. The benelli users with me had no problems either...except they spent more time wiping them down than I did (benelli's will rust pretty quickly). I sold my SBE because I did not shoot it as well as my xtrema2 or my M2. My M2 is my primary turkey gun though...lighter and carries a little better to me.
Buy the one you shoot the beat and be confident you have one of the best guns on the market.

Not to hijack, but I'm gonna get me an Extrema for my next gun. Love my SBE I and the only problems I've ever had have been of my own creation. Namely, not keeping it clean enough. If you keep it clean, it will cycle damn near as fast as an true automatic. Freaking awesome gun in my opinion. It is ablsoutely deadly on turkeys with the comp-n-choke set up I've got as well.
I've heard great things about an Extrema as well and know some guys that prefer them over Benelli. All and all, you've narrowed it down to two great guns and you can't go wrong with either. If you're undecided, go with what your gut says.

I have seen my buddies shoot single shots on real cold mornings. My EagleII well like the Duck Commander says it goes boom boom boom

both great guns. Decide which one feels and shoulders better for you. Can't go wrong either way.
