Even our new-found oil is being sold on international markets. Haven't you noticed that fuel prices are higher now than they were before the shale deposits were even tapped? At some point, we are going protect our national interests and stop the unchecked globalism by multinational corporations.
Great observation. In 2008 the worlds pop was growing as fast as the decrease of farmable ground adding in the decreasing food bank and we are spiraling down hill. Then your basic crop science companys are catching it from all ends about GMO products. There was talk about 500bu/acre corn by 2025 but I am sure that the hippies wont allow that. Then the increase cost of fuel and having to pay help more due to welfare/unemployment and cracking down on the amegos the farmer is having a spike in input prices. Then the farmer having to be well versed just to chose variety, time applications, judge weather for irrigation timing and then hope like hell a storm doesnt ruin his harvest time crop. Now he has know how to judge commoditiy prices on a global market and know above stated problems in other contries who are less regulated and have cheaper everything. In order to do that he has to either have grain bins or pay storage fees. FARMERS FEED AMERICA, there is no doubt but like everything else the GOV has it all messed up and then use all of this as scare tactics.

Oh and Oil is our leading export, and oil is the foundation of the worlds economy, what oil prices do controls the price of everything and once the consumer shows they will pay the price for anything that price now sticks.

But I sure do feel good know we have free lunches at school, EBT cards for "needy", WIC centers for unfortunate, the belly of millions in middle east are full from food we give away. Sure is warming to know that hard work is extored while laziness irresponsible citizens and foreign terrorist and their future generations are rewarded with our food, efforts, natural resources and tax dollars.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

My family is feeling it for sure. Here is one thing I have learned about buying all the other stuff (non-food items). Don't get them at the grocery store. Go to these little dollar general/etc and buy that crap. It's usually .25 cents to a dollar cheaper than Kroger/W-Mart.

For sure PeeWee! Dollar tree has a lot of that stuff too and a ton of canned foods as well and it's all a dollar or less!
