Re: Draw hunt observations

I hunted Howard Miller 3 times last year and have hunted it 3 times this year. I do most of my hunting on the MS River but when the water is low we are very limited. I would much rather be in the boat on the river but for us that can't or should I say aren't willing to shell over thousands of ...

Re: Daycare alternatives

Been sending my son to Crossgates Methodist since he was old enough to go. The $600 is just the base, wait until all the fees start rolling in! That being said I feel like my son is more developed having gone there. Although I’m counting down the days, daddy needs a new truck!

MS/Arkansas River Hunters

Dear Editor
Did you know that the US Fish and Wtldlife Service is pro posing to expand the White River National Wildlife Refuge? Most people don't. Why should they? It isn't like the White River is in Mississippi. Well, the fact is that part of the p :o posed ...

Re: Liquor in Brandon, MS

How come the people against it always say it will lead to nightclubs and strip clubs? There are lots of towns in MS that sell liquor that don't have these types of establishments.

Re: Jackson Area Music Happenings

Buddy of mine is helping with the festival in Greenville. He told me some of the bands they have lined up. I remember Drive By Truckers, The Weak and NMAS. He said they have an offer into Warren Haynes but haven't heard back yet.

Re: Jackson Area Music Happenings

Not sure why you would think it wouldn't be a rocki9n show! The band Yes blew Thalia Mara up last Thursday. Back in the early nineties Widespread had a rocking show there. It’s a great place to see a concert.

I just built a house in Ambiance and the landscaper has been using palm trees. I asked him if they held up to the cool weather and he said yes. He said the kind they were using were raised here.

The band Plant has put together hasn't played but two gigs. There are only two dates in the US. There first gig was back in May and they played several Zep songs. I know they played Four Sticks, Bron Y Aur Stomp; Black Dog; Whole Lotta Love and Gallows Pole. They also covered Taj Mahal and Howlin ...
