Re: Why DU Why?

Dad is still deer hunting mostly but is throwing a duck hunt in every once in a while. Tell Clint not to worry, I'm sure his dad has missed a few also, as have I. Saw the swayback buck night before last, he is huge. He was chasing a doe from the south.

I had spotlighters shoot twice at 12:30am and ...

Why DU Why?

I have a Offical Ducks Unlimited calendar, and my daughter just noticed that it does not have "Christmas" noted on the 25th. She then noticed that it did not note "Easter" either, but did have Hanukkah, Boxing Day, etc. Why does Ducks Unlimited not include Christian Holidays but includes all others ...

This news ain't gonna make Elliott's day  He's been counting on going with Clint ever since last year.

He has been bugging me to death to go down the river and walk in to a spot. That's hard to do with chest deep water and a 3 inch hole in your waders.

See any low flying Canadians?

Go to your local muffler shop, and ask them to build you one. Take the muffler pipe and make a base in the form of an "H" with the center of the "H" being about 18 inches. The other two pieces need to be about 16 inches. Then squeeze the ends down on the 18' inch of pipe and weld them to the center ...

Check with your local County NRCS or FSA office. Provided they have the funds it could be possible that they will re-plant the hardwoods at little cost to you. They have done that on one contract I know of. The hardwoods were envaded with non-productive species. NRCS sprayed the area by air, and ...

How can you give over 100%

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical ...

We planted 25 acres of corn last year on May 22. Had roughly a 70 to 90 bushel yield prior to duck season. The ducks ate most of the corn at NIGHT. You could sit in the blind all day and might get your limit. But once that sun started down, they would fill up the whole field. They ate most of the ...
