Car Battery outlet converter needed.....HELP ASAP

Postby olemissduckhunter » Fri Dec 03, 2010 11:46 am

Guys I am in need of a converter that you can hook to a car battery that will allow you to plug a regular old house plug (male) into. Don't have time to order off the internet and was wondering if any of yall could let me know where I could get one.....Thought maybe one of you tailgating guys would know where I could find one

as above, walmart, etc

make sure you look for an "inverter".

12V DC to 120V AC

Autozone or Oreileys

They give you a one year warranty with it also. Got one for the Grove there.

I just bought one at wally world for about $40 buck. You can hook directly to battery with clamps or go through cig lighter

Another place to check would be Radio Shack. The larger stores have everything.

Just cut the end off the lights and wrap each one around pos and neg poles on your battery since you seem to be in a hurry. If you have a few days, see the posts above.

Exactly.

generally the larger wattage models will be directly to the battery. This being the cig outlet doesn't have the amp/wattage rating.
