herbicide for Durano clover

Postby redherring » Wed Mar 31, 2010 5:20 pm

I planted some plots with Durano clover last fall along with plot mix of wheat, rye, etc. The clover has done great, but has a mix of other grass etc. coming in this spring. What can I spray on it to select out the clover. Thanks.

poast plus is generally easy to find and works well, though you can save money using clethodium if you can find it. Are the grasses in it the wheat/oats or other 'weed' species ? depending on the variety, a regular mowing schedule can work wonders (memorial day, 4th of july, labor day is a general rule of thumb).
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

Post or Select are both grass herbicides that will not hurt your clover. Generic Select is running about $125/gl right now. A gallon will cover several acres.
