If you're hunting buddy was busy?

Postby Greenhead329 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 2:29 pm

Would yall hunt by yourselves? Boating..not walking in..I would do a walk in hunt without hesitation.
How many of yall have gone out by yourselves?

Luckily I never have to hunt alone, there's always a good group. I am blessed.
I ain't hunting, it's a tailgate party with shotguns.

I do it a few times a year on the MS river. I just file a float plan with some freinds and normally the USCG. I prefer to run the river with someone else with me in case of problems but I'll run it if I have to. Marsh hunting not on the river I'll hunt by myself in a flash.

I enjoy hunting by myself - just practice common sense and it's good to let someone know where you will be hunting and when to be expected back if your going on public land or boating

I have and would go by myself in a heart beat. A man only has so many days to hunt each season and I'm not gonna pass one up because someone else couldn't get free.

Do it all the time, most folks dont have the flex to go as often as I do. Well I say alone but always got the old hound. I really dont get too excited about the river hunts having to do all the work but its nice to have a little time to yourself. Its also harder to kill ducks with too many folks if they dont know what the hell they are doing.

I am off work the entire month of December, so not everyone has all those days off....I hunt more often alone than I do with others...However, I have had some close calls even when walking in. Last year, I walked into a public hole that I had scouted...Plenty of ducks.....I hit a beaver run and went under up to my chin!!! It's times like those that can make you cautious about going out alone...I'm trying my damndest to find a few good hunting buddies...

Dax, if you know there's a pile of ducks where you're going, just call ol' Driveby here and you won't be alone.

I don't mind hunting by myself, but it nice to have good company. I hunt Bayou Meto by myself during the week ,but there is always someone in yelling distance.(ha ha).
