Canvasbacks in Coldwater.

Postby theHammer » Thu Jan 01, 2009 8:15 pm

Has anyone else been seeing these illegals around the Coldwater area? I've been tempted to groud-check a few, but i didn't want to risk the talk with the GWs. haha. But i've hunted there a good bit this past week and have had a couple of volleys of em. Just rare for me to see them there, was wondering if yall had noticed.?.

They seem to be every where this season. They definitely are not decoy shy as they are not being shot at. Seems they are holding in areas longer, guessing that is due to lack of hunting pressure for them..................

Cans aren't decoy shy when being shot at.

seen em 2 sundays in a row in a beanfield in earle arkansas. first group was 3, second group was about 15. Why on earth would a diving duck be 20 miles from any water he could go underwater in is beyond me. travis
