decoy carving

I'm needing to find a supplier of products for carving decoys . I have a grandchild interested and I need to know where to go to get the supplies.

They are great people to deal with, and can awnser almost any question you have about decoy carving. I HIGHLY reccomend them.

JEFF nailed it.

talk to mr. willy and mrs. diane.....they have starter kit, fit with everything someone needs to carve their first canvasback.

suggestion: start w/ divers as they differenent areas of coloration are more defined....this just makes it easier to get a "feel" for the painting....

great hobby, good on your grandchild for taking up a tradition such as this.

ditto with jeff and Gator about Mr. Willy from Duck blind.....I had no experience and was able to make a working decoy first attempt....he teaches hand tools and power....Painting was very clearly explained and easy to duplicate.

another person to conact on here is bama hunter. I haven't seen him around in a while, but he oftern posts up a lot of very nice birds that he has carved. I'd look there also.

absolutely.

he carves a GREAT gunner. i've got a can and bluebill sitting on my shelf that he did for my wedding.....great looking blocks.
