Back from guiding and the day was excellent. The weather has been wet lately and about 70 degrees. There are a ton of blue wings still around and there seems to be more than average numbers of mallards for this time of year. Hunted a flooded corn field in the am with two owners and then a more traditional marsh shoot in the pm with 2 late arrivals. 4 limits, 4 happy hunters, 1 tired lab and a band I may just be in heaven

Dang wicket. I can't get over someone killing greenhead (probably still brown heads up there now) in September. Of course, you will probably be snowed in by the middle of October, and I will still be swatting mosquitos and dodging alligators.
