MSDucks cookout/shoot
If you are definitely coming then reply to the post. Just trying to see who all and how many are coming. I figure GH22 and Anatidae will be needing somewhat of a close head count. I will be there.

Those planning to attend the MSDucks.com/ Starkville Gun Club Fun Shoot and Cookout on Saturday (March 15th) should make a copy of these directions.
From Hwy 82 East of Starkville.....take the Hwy 182 / Clayton Village Exit. Go approx 1 mi to the first concrete bridge. Take the immediate Left turn on Sixteen Section Rd. From there, go 4 miles . Gun Club is thru a Chain link gate on left.
From Hwy 82 West of Starkville......Stay in the left lane as you pass Starkville Ford/Lincoln Dealer and go under the underpass. Do NOT take Hwy 82 to Columbus. Go i mi from the underpass to the first concrete bridge. Immediately past the bridge Turn left on Sixteen Section Rd and go 4 miles to chain-link gate on left.
From Hwy 45-Alt (West Point)......From the railroad tracks in front of the Mossy Oak Outdoor Outlet clock 4 miles to Tibbee. Turn right at the sign to(toward Golden Triangle Regional Landfill). That's Old West Point Rd. Go 5.2 miles to the 4-way stop. Turn right on Sixteen Section Rd. Go 2 miles and Turn left at the

OK guys, I'm going to try to give some details and see who is bringing what and who is going to help me run the show.
I'm leaving tomorrow to go home for spring break, and I should be back either the 13th or 14th. I am going to go get some paper products and whatever else I think we'll need or use.
Grill/Charcoal-duckhuntalot?
Ice-Scooter?
turkey fryer-Micah?
crawfish/accessories-Jeff?
Shooting chairman, scooter vs. gc, delta duck vs. duckmen, overall champ will become chairman....
I'm going to get the fields setup, check on targets, and I'll put them back up after we are through.
As for shooting, we have 5 stand sporting clays, 3 skeet/trap ranges, and another true double trap shoot I believe. We will also try to get the 'wobble' trap going, tried it last time and it died on us...
$5/round I believe and bring plenty of shells, gonna go stock up on some $2.98 super speeds...
:
I think everyone is bringing food and beverages so that shouldn't be a problem, will have alot of food to go around. There is a stove/oven for anything that needs to be cooked in the clubhouse. Also have a pool table for the kids to play on or if any of you want to lose some money to me, we can play on it...
Next issue: I assume that some are wondering about the alcohol policy, here it goes: when you pop a top, your gun goes back in the case and in the truck, doesn't come back out. This is club policy, insurance underwriter's clause, no way to get around it.
Gate will be probably be open at 8am.
If I am leaving out anything, feel free to chime in and let me know. Anatidae will probably add some info about the gun club/clubhouse.

t-h, just bring whatever you want.
If any of you have something special that you want to eat or cook, bring it. From what I can tell we will be having: hog, gumbo, etoufee, saute duck, fried turkey, boiled crawfish, hamburgers, hotdogs, and whatever else.
Hey GC or Jeff, bring me some redfish and I'll fix up my little recipe, last package of reds I had damn freezer burned, fell down in the bottom of the freezer and didn't know it.

Dang, no shooting after alcohol. I was going to put on a trick shot display after about a case. In reality, that is a great policy to have in place.
I'll bring a hog, wood, and grill to cook the squealer on. I'll have enough meat for 200 people. What is left over is going home with somebody. If I could get a few folks to pick up a couple packs of buns, thats all I need.
GH22, I'm gonna need to start cooking porky the night before. Ya'll gonna let throw up a tent and "watch the fire". Might even need some help.
