If so, can you look up and post the value for a 12 guage Beretta 686 Onyx 28" multichoked barrels in average condition? Thanks!

Sorry mine is about six years old. Brand new they sell for about $1100. A friend just bought one used for $800. I heard of another for sale that went for $850. Maybe this will give you an idea of what they are selling for used.

Hey DHolic: I just traded it out. Sorry. You might try the Gun List. It is hard to wear out a Beretta O/U, so they hold their resale pretty well.

I was looking at some in the blue book the other day and saw a 686 that shot 31/2, sure it would be murder on the shoulder but id like to have it anyway!

I've been shooting the 686 all summer for clays. Over the last month, I've been playing with loads and chokes for duck season. I have a 28" barrel on mine. The best patterns with steel are with #2 or #3 in 3". Went to the 3 1/2" #2 and it had holes all in the pattern with both IC and Mod tubes. Shot some of the Hevishot #4 and #6 in 3" the other day...whooee! Looked real good in both #'s through a mod. tube at 35 - 40 yrds. 3" steel is no big deal with recoil, and the 3" Hevishot wasn't as bad as I thought. In fact, it wasn't any worse than the 3 1/2" steel. Tell the truth, old as I am and troublesome as my shoulders are, I don't want to shoot more than a limit with either of them with this two-holer! She is a sweet gun, though. Points better than most any I've had access to.
