This site, in my opinion, has the best duck huntin forum around. I like the localized nature of the forum...being based in MS...kind of biased I guess. I think there are a good group of members on this site, very knowledgeable...yes, even our buddy GH22 can give some good input every once in a while. Micah and the moderators...you've done a great job.

I know having a section to post hunting pictures and the like has been mentioned in the past. I was wandering whether this was investigated any further. I think it would be nice to be able to post and view pics of hunts, habitat, duck blinds (Judge's shak), boatblinds, dogs, Anatidae's duck picker (not the wife), etc...

What are ya'lls thoughts on this?

I'd be too embarrassed to put a picture of my duck picker (homemade version) on the internet....shows how cheap I am.

I agree, Dos Gris....I like to think of the forum as the 'ole country store' that folks use to gather around the pot-bellied stove (no, not Goosebruce) and tell tales and poke fun at each other......real down-home atmosphere.

'Got a 'core group' of old-timers that's fulla more stuff than a Christmas turkey. And a good group of young 'bucks' that'll learn from the old-timers' mistakes, I hope. [img]images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]

I've only been around a couple of months but this board really does feel like home. Since I've been around a short time I guess that's why I'm only a 4 Star and not a 5 Star poster. [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

As many of you know, I'm from Alabama but my family are all Mississippians and both my dad and I are State grads. In a sense, I feel like I'm more of a Mississippian than an Alabamian (which is good I think). It's nice to talk with the "home folks" on this site and with the occasional visitor from other states.

Micah would have to address the bandwith issues as to server space to store photos. I used to keep mine at www.photopoint.com 'cause it was free. Now they want money to keep my photos stored, so I don't know what I will do. Anyone know of some free pic hosting boards that we can use?

CulfCoast, yahoo has a picture sharing site that is free that allows you plenty of space for a few pics. you have to be a yahoo member, which is free. the only draw back is you have to know each indidvuals yahoo name to see their photos. just a thought. andy

I enjoy the sight very much. Some real nice people. I have probably run into a few of ya'll at the bear store on 61 and exchanged excuses on why we did not limit. I appreciate the feedback I get when an article is posted.

A solution for pic hosting is in the works. Security is going to be a booger, but I think I can do it. I'll keeep you all in the loop.

i have alot of pics of the Shack, but i don't have the PUTER KNOWLEDGE to put them up....just a dumb a## judge....... guess i will have to have ya'll down to see it personally......

Not a bad pic there GC, some stuff I could go for right now, Teal and a mottled duck! I happen to like the place too (I guess so since I been here for I guess four years?) Micah how long has this place been up and running? You know since the white background with green letters for posts? Another interesting thing that we'll never know wonder how many posts been put up since it all started. Just sumthin' to think about.

That would be great if we had a place to store(post) pics. I too remember the white background and the green letters. I could not fathom a guess at how many posts have been made. That counter may have reset itself a few times over the years. I can honestly say I have enjoyed the time I have spent on this site over the past few years..... Thanks for all the knowledge and laughs over the years guys.....
