MS waterfowl dates

Hey Y'all. What are the dates being considered for the upcoming season? Understand the frasmework, just wondering if MDWFP has set the dates or what dates are being considered this year.

I'd just as soon the season open for a weekend or two in november, like it did about 4 years ago, then open again about mid december and run late as possible. Seems to me that placate the 20% minority of MS duck hunter that want an early season and also maximize weekend opportunities.

I think that the seasons will be announced either this week or next week, but I have been hearing that there will not be an early split. I guess that we will just have to wait and see.

They will be set Friday Aug 31st. And dont getyour hopes up for anything before December.
