Merkel shotguns

Tell you what I'll do, me being the generous man that I am....I'll take that ole boat anchor off you hands for $50, and you don't owe me no boot! Merkels are fine shotguns and you need to have it appraised by someone who knows guns before you sell it. My offer of $50 still stands, though!

I have seen Merkel sporting clays O/U's for about 3K. They have a reputation for breaking coil springs, pretty easy to fix.

Anyone know anything about these shotguns? It says made in East Germany, there is no serial number or a model # either. It is a 12 gauge O/U and has the most beautiful filligree I've ever seen!! It is in perfect condition. Any ideas what it is worth??
