I had a rough one today, I took my old dog Annabell to the vet and know she is not suffering anymore. I am somewhat mad at myself for waiting so long but it is truely the hardest thing in the world to do if you have never had to do it before.

My condolences. Don't feel bad for doing what you thought was best for the old girl. Its a tough time and its easy to underestimate the bond we have with our dogs.
