Taxidermist warning.............

Postby Thomas » Mon Oct 09, 2006 7:13 pm

Took my mount to Sidney Malone in Ridgeland in late February. I still don't have it. Called in May, said I was next up and was having some supplier problems. Called in July, said I should have it next week. Now it's October...........nothing. No phone call, nothing.

If you ever want to see your mount again, never take it to Sidney Malone. I have been more than patient.

Oh, and he has my long sprigged pintail duck. How long you reckon' it takes to mount a duck?

John Walker in Magee, MS - 601-849-3436 - He is the best around. I live in Madison, MS and I will always pass up the other guys to take my mounts to John as long as he stays in the business.

John will do a great job, as soon as you walk in his shop, you will see why. His mounts on fish and the wildlife is just well above the rest of the guys.

He has a Wildlife Art Studio, not just a Taxidermy. There is a big differance between Wildlife Art and a Mount.

Bobby Brown in Mendenhall is an artist as well, and he also is very good at giving a truthful timeline.

He's also a nice guy. I've never heard a bad word about Mr. Brown

Well it's a good thing all that junk was deleted from this thread before I could say sometime about Vomit or Grommet or whatever the @#%$ his name is.

I will be your worst nightmare because I'm never going away. I'm here reading everyday but mostly don't see anything worth commenting on.

.except for that deer head picture sent in from some dude who had one mounted by Mr. SIDNEY MALONE. Dude, that mount sucked! Looked like that was his practice deer from Taxidermy 101 school. No wonder it didn't take long to get it back!

Thomas if your head looks like that you need to get your money back.

But all of this is JMO and nothing else, so ALL YA"LL have a great day!! Happy hunting!!
