I bought a pair of Hodgeman durastretch 1200 waders a couple or 3 years ago. I've worn them maybe 10 times since then...mostly to keep me dry in the blind when the dog shakes, as I rarely wade hunt.
I went hunting for the first time this year this past weekend. Wading was the only option. About an hour into the hunt I felt my right foot getting wet and then the left. Long story short: The sole came completely off the right boot and is separating badly on the left.
The waders are clearly not dry rotted, and show no other damage.
Anybody else had the soles come off a pair of Hodgeman waders?

Waders
Since my daughters has been ill this year I haven't hunted much this year. But for my b-day my wife gave me a pair of those exact waders. I went out one time in them and both legs leaked so bad I was soaking wet after the hunt. But sportsman warehouse where she got them took them back. Even let her trade for the Lacrose waders but they didn't have my size so she got her money back.

Got chocolate got a new pair this season and he got wet the first hunt. He called the company and they sent him a new pair. He looked them over and noticed that they had a weak spot in the same spot were the others leaked. Called them again and they replaced with another model. The first were 1600 Hodgman. I have had a pair of hodgman for 2 years and wear them all the time no leaks that arn't my own doing.

I've owned several pair of Hodgeman waders over the years and been very pleased. I agree these appear to have a design flaw. It was hard to beat those on canvas "wadewells" though - they were uncomfortable, but wore like iron for about $60.

I have 2 had 2 pair of chest waders and 2 waist highs and have had almost no problems. The waist highs that are about 6 years old have a small leak in the butt somewhere that I have never been able to find. The Chest highs have been perfect.
There is very little more satisfying than a pair of good waders in deep cold water and nothing worse than getting wet.
Sounds like a breach of the implied warranty of . . . . . yada, yada. Call the company.
