Ford or Chevy?

Postby Up2Early » Sat May 07, 2005 3:48 pm

I'm looking for a truck - for hunting use only. I've got about 7K to spend and I need a full-size 2WD extended cab, so I'm probably looking at 95-98 models with 100K+ miles.

FORD F-150 or CHEVY 1500? All those who have one like this, which has better reliability?

Anybody with access to a wholesale auction, please PM me.

Step One: Buy a Toyota.
Step Two: Don't let your buddy anywhere near it with a loaded shotgun.
Step Three: Don't slide into any ditches where the water is deep enough to float all the CDs in your cab.
Enjoy!!

ps--I screwed up and didn't follow steps two and three and mine is kicking pretty damn good. Prolly should get that a/c runnin' again though.

I have owned a couple Chevys, a Toyota, and a couple Fords. My present truck is a Ford, and my next truck will still be a Ford. If you gave me a brand new Chevy, I would sell it right off the bat and get it out of my life before the transmission disintegrates or the paint peels off. I pull a lot of Chevy's out of the mud with it, too.
