Jap Millet
Seems to be a shortage of it this year. With that said, if anyone has a sack or two that didn't get planted I would gladly buy it from you.

If you are planting on a mud flat try brown top .I have sowed it numerous time after draw down and had good results . Its most important to plant immediately after the water is drained off.

Re: Jap Millet
For those that r still drawing water down or like some have been flooded out. What's yalls plan?
I hate to kill the grass that's there but am not far from some 2-4d unresistent crops.
Tossing the idea of a heavy gallon/roundup application and overseeding in the mud with millet. Would prefer 24d and millet but don't think I want that on my shoulders. Although it shouldn't walk, one good day of heat may get it on its feet.

Re: Jap Millet
I've already drawn the water off of one hole. Didn't think it was going to be this hard to find millet. I'm hoping I will have some by the weekend.

Don't kill grass to plant millet this time of year.

Man, i wouldn't even talk about spraying 2-4,d after the year we've had. Maybe go with some Gramoxone. It won't kill the roots, but it will smoke anything that is above the dirt. I'm kinda like Rob though. Just leave all that stuff out there.missed mallards wrote:. Would prefer 24d and millet but don't think I want that on my shoulders.
