2014 Turkey Contest - custom call

Didn't see a contest thread, but saw several people interested. Y'all are welcome to make another team contest in addition to this one, but I figured I'd contribute just to give us all something else to follow this season. I'm going to make the rules a little different...I think it will be fun. Required pic of each turkey...need to see spurs and beard (of your largest). I don't care for measuring tapes in pics; if you feel the need to lie or cheat, that's on your conscious. I'll award the MSDUCKS member that wins a custom turkey call made by myself. Rules will be as follows:

1. Open to all current MSDUCKS members (can NOT join MSDUCKS and enter after 3/15/14)
2. Your largest bird will determine majority of your score as follows:
A. Beard x 2
B. Each spur x 10
C. Additional beards x 1
3. +1 point for an opening weekend kill (must post pic by 10pm 3/16/14)
4. +1 point for killing the limit in your state (must announce your home state)
5. +1 point for each additional state that you kill a bird (not +1 for each turkey)
6. +1 point for archery kill
7. Contest will end May 31, 2014 OR when all participants announce they're done.

So, for scoring example, Billy Bob kills a turkey opening weekend (+1), he kills 2 other turkeys in MS for a limit (+1), his largest of which was killed with a bow (+1) had 1" spurs (+20) and was double bearded, a 10" beard (+20) and a 6" beard (+6). He then went to Missouri and killed two turkeys (+1) and also killed one in Alabama (+1). His final score is 51.

Again, this is on the honor system...you don't have to post a bunch of pics with a measuring tape and the bird. Just show a decent pic that includes the beard and spurs. If the pic obviously doesn't look like the reported measurements, I guess we could ask for a tape measure later if enough people call it out. Have fun, and good luck this season gentlemen!

Great response! But there's no need to "sign up" or declare "in"...it's open to all MSDUCKers. 5 more days boys...can't wait! Maybe a moderator can make this a sticky.
