LSU v. Alabama Prediction Thread
Bama is a 12 point favorite (largest in Miles v Saban era). LSU has virtually non-existent defense and what offense used to be there seems to be gone. Bama gave up a record amount of yardage to Texas A&M but has played virtually flawless defense since and their offense is as efficient as any in the Saban era.
I personally think the media is sleeping on what could be an all-time great Alabama team (even though they rank them #1 in the nation).
Both teams are coming off of bye-weeks. LSU really has nothing to lose at this point as their best case scenario is the Capital One Bowl, even if they win out. If Bama loses, there is a high likelihood they are on the outside looking in and would need help to get back to the BCSCG.
Bama is at home.
I say take Bama and the points, 31-13.

Re: LSU v. Alabama Prediction Thread
Earlier this year I felt like LSU would upset us. We've played pretty well the last month even though the schedule has been rather lack luster.
Could the fact Bama really hasn't been tested (with exception of A&M) cause them to slip up? LSU always seems to play their best against us, sans the 2011 Sugar Bowl. I wouldn't be shocked of an upset, but I think we win by 7.
I think our offense has so many playmakers and our defense keeps getting better and better. But I am worried about the deep ball speed of LSUs 2 WRs. Not sure if Mettenburger can do it on the road.

I'm gonna say Alabama by 14+ because that's what I want to happen...Roll Tide! I'll be there.

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Well very glad duck season opens this weekend in LA so I'll have something to look forward to. I have the least amount of excitement about this game in at least 10 years. I think LSU will get skull drug in this game. I think they loose by 21 points or more. Thankfully it's a night game if I am right I will have my good buddy crown by my side.

I have an extra ticket and crown if you want to witness it in first person Jeff.
Re: LSU v. Alabama Prediction Thread
I appreciate the offer Rusty, but with opening weekend of duck season this weekend I would likely pass up the ticket, crown and the cheerleading team to head to the camp. My trip to Canada just stoked the fire to shoot ducks, and gonna have to head to Venice over Tuscaloosa. I just hope I am wrong about the outcome of the game, I hope it's at least close.

Re: LSU v. Alabama Prediction Thread
What is crazy about this game is that if LSU makes a tackle on Bo Wallace on 3rd and long during the Ole Miss last drive with right at 2:00 left and a couple of timeouts, they probably drive down and kick a FG to win the game...the result is #1 vs. #5 and a lot of people would be predicting an LSU victory. Instead, Wallace broke the arm tackle and now LSU is doomed. Funny game.

The question is : will LSU fight like an alley cat for that inch? Or curl up in the fetal position, and die whimpering?
I say to expect a fight --- a battle royale. The Mad Hatter will be back on a natural grass field, thus back in his element --- he can reach down and pull up all the grass that he can eat, as needed. "Sucker punch" Hill should feel right at home as well, going up against the skittle eatin' knock out gamers --- it'll be a thug v thug street fight.
LSU pulls off the upset.

Going to be a close one. LSU will be fired up, Mettenberger will play the game of his life but Bama wins by a big turnover in the 4th quarter or either miles screws up clock management.

Re: LSU v. Alabama Prediction Thread
I am probably less concerned about this game with Bama than any in the last 15 years. I have no expectation that LSU will win. LSUs season was effectively over three weeks ago when the uninspired Les Miles coached team spotted Ole Miss 17 points. Even if Alabama wins by 50, it really is of no concern to me at this point. Moreover, if Bama were to win by 50, maybe, just maybe the Les Miles hot seat would start to flicker ambers of hope for his eventual termination.
