Where the hell was Baker? Bell should have been wearing a blue helment last night. OMG he almost missed a PAT(banged it through off the upright), coughs up a safety, and twice when he did get a punt off everyone was going right and he kicks left. And the punt-pass-kick kid nailed his field goal but Bell kicked it over to the ROTC guys standing next to the cannon. HAIL CALL RICE!!!!!! Get them pads on brother we need ya. If Baker was not hurt than Dan is an idiot or Bell has tape on him or something.

The rest of it went like I figured pretty good play in the first half, and couldn't beat the cheerleaders in the secound. When is baseball season?

Mullen just keeps trotting out the worst kicker in the NCAA and stubbornly refuses to admit he needs to make a change. On top of that he lets him punt last night. Terrible decision!!

This whole thing is starting to look exactly like the Croom years. Now Mullen is saying the second half struggles are all about execution. I hate when a coach uses that word. Remember when ole Sly Croom used to defend Woody by saying the kids did not execute. Mullen and his boy Hevesy are the new Croom and Woody Mccorvey.

so does bell impress the h3ll outta dan all week in practice and then can't work through the pressure of the crowd to actually play the game? sportscasters were saying he is a practice stopper with occasional boomer punts or distance on some fg attempts, so he has a leg. no consistency or no accuracy?

.... and bigoak, that thought keeps creepin' through my mind...although i try to ignore it, can't shake it with the performance in the last season or so. yeah, yeah, yeah winning seasons....who did we really play for sec wins (where it counts), other than a florida upset couple'a years back? don't get me wrong, mullen has turned the football program/fan base around and 'vegas is a much better place to live, BUT our teams have proven that they don't have the discipline nor mental toughness to play 4 qtrs of top tier football week in and week out as a team.

I still think MSU will beat Ole Miss in Starkville this year. Unless Ole Miss gets real healthy, I don't think they will be able to stop Dak Prescott. State's defense has the potential to be really good if they play an inspired 60 minutes. Chris Jones is a better football player than Robert Nkimdeche IMO. Autry can be a beast. I think the game will be close, but I still believe a beleaguered MSU beats Ole Miss this year.
