Congrats rebels! The better team and coaching staff won tonight. I think we saw a changing of the guard tonight...
Re: Congrats
Congrats Rebs! Wish my dawgs could actually beat somebody they aren't favored to beat! Forgot what that feels like!
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am

Ok Delta, lets not get too carried away. It's only one game. I think your assessment may be a tad dramatic.
What scares me is that the upcoming 3 game stretch of home games --- v Idaho, Arkansas, and Troy --- were expected to be not only wins, but a breather from the really difficult mid-season schedule. Only now, the Rebs have so many starters out ( add starting TE Evan Engram to the list) that Freeze is going to have his work cut out for him reshuffling the deck, keeping the team mentally "up" enough to avoid an upset loss, and getting these 3 needed wins before finishing with Missouri and MSU. These young guys who stepped up against LSU were sky high on emotion Saturday night against LSU. While I don't expect Freeze to be able to get them to that level every game here on out, he will need a a great effort by all remaining able- bodied players to get these next 3 potential wins. And we need them.

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Given how depleted Ole Miss was on defense and given the level of play at times this year by the LSU offense, I must say after a coupe of days to ponder, that might be the most amazing coaching job I have ever seen by Hugh Freeze and staff. There is quite literally no way OM should have won on paper...no way. Yet, they pretty well dominated the game with the exception of a few drives.
It really was an amazing win.
In so doing, it also brought to light what I have been saying for years...Les Miles is not an elite coach that has the good fortune of coaching a program that can be elite...but like its coach, no longer is because of the coach. He has basically admitted that they did not really game plan for Ole Miss...took them for granted.
I have talked to numerous season ticket holders since Saturday night, and several have said that are finished until Miles in gone. They will keep their season ticket packages and just attempt to sell those tickets on exchanges until there is a change. Those same people donate heavily to the TAF as well. One is crafting a letter to Alleva that all money ceases until Miles is gone...be it next year or five years from now...no more money.
I think LSU is probably about to dip for a while, but I have no doubt will return one day. Oh well, you have to be willing to take the good with the bad. I have witnessed two national titles. I'm cool with it.

Boy the depth issues are glaring this year. We got lucky last year and escaped without major injuries. This year it is really showing. We'll be down to walk-on TE's now and Parker a converted RB.
Womack said we had 14 defensive players to rotate into 7 spots along the D-line / LB's. Hell Bryan Bennett played DE all night and he's a DT.
Damn good game Rebs.

Well done Rebels, y'all deserve to enjoy this one!
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.
