My wifes Toyota Camry 2004 AC went out last week. The AC light just flashes inside the car. You can tell that something triggered it to stop working. I have tried replacing the relay and the air filters but no luck. Also have disconnected/reconnected the battery to reset the computer but that didn't work either. Any ideas? If not, who is a good mechanic in the Jackson area? I would rather not bring it to the Toyota shop. Thanks,
DoubleG

Re: Ask DS - Toyota Camry AC HELP
take your battery aloose again, this time touch the two cables together for about 15secs, then reconnect and try it. that will reset the computer and make reboot...then take the ac all the way hot and wait a couple minutes, then go all the way cold...
maybe i dunno.. is freon low?

Google it - apparently lots of Camry owners with same issue.
Son, be sure to check the oil. The gas will take care of itself. George Carter - Circa 1965

Sounds like low freon. Check around compressor and lines for signs of a leak.

Stoddard and Graves have always taken care of us in the toyota department. They are honest and reasonable. They are located off HWY 80 near Bass Pro.
