Just further proof the rumours of Bama paying for recruits is NOT true. If they had money, there would be no need to rob anyone.
See, silver lining in everything.

Yes, Swamprooter - the Process does continue. Take 4 out - Rinse and Repeat with other 4 and 5 Star players.
As Bobby Bowden once said to parents, "Don't expect me to fix the problems of a kid in 4 years when you've had 18 years with them."
These 4 are indefinitely suspended as of now. To compare, Saban has had 9 others in that category before and all were removed from the team. Simply waiting on additional police information and formal investigation before convicting.
So, enlighten me Swamprooter on your team of choice, and I'll be glad to throw stones your way.

Re: 4 Bama players arrested...
Every team has its disciplinary problems --- most involve some type of alcohol or drug charges, weapons possession charge, illegal credit card use charge, stealing another's property from a dorm room or vehicle, or a fight over a woman, etc. So, what I am about to say is not an indictment on the University of Alabama just because something like this happened.
But, the charges here are particularly disturbing. At least two of the players have admitted that they sought out, attacked and knocked unconscious other UA students in order to rob them of money, credit cards, etc. (the $$ amounts involved have turned out to be fairly minor). This is basically gang-like, street crime arriving on the campus of Alabama.
No doubt they should be at least suspended indefinately. But, with respect to the two players who have admitted to committing a battery upon other UA students and then robbing them, I fail to see why those two players can't just be dismissed from the team immediately. What more do you really need to know? What could the judicial system reveal about this that would mitigate the circumstances in any way. Yes, normally due process would require this to first run its course. But, in the case of an admission of guilt by the players, there would seem to be no risk at all to immediately dismissing them as students/football players and kicking them off campus.
If I was the parent of one of these students who had been attacked, beaten senseless, and robbed I would be ready to come unglued about this point in time over the delay by the University not having already dismissed them from the team and the school and booted them from campus to fend for themselves.

Po Monk - While I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment, I can only assure you the University of Alabama will expel these players if not already done so. Certainly a sad time we currently live in - just a reflection of our society. They made the wrong choice, and will pay dearly for their actions.

Also, keep in mind with 'admission of guilt' comes with other issues as coercion and such. Due process my friend. If they are guilty of this, I am sure Saban will ensure they are not on the team. He has held the course in the past, see no need to change course now.

Good lord, its only been 3 days. They've got theirs coming to them. I'm guessing they can wrap this up quicker than the Jordan Jefferson fiasco.
In the meantime, sit back and enjoy more meaningless posts by swamprooter. It's quite impressive to see his brain cells at work.

Re: 4 Bama players arrested...
This was definetly not your normal boys being boys getting in trouble thing. As stated before when Saban indefinitely suspends a player he is gone for good. Sad thing is one was probably going to be a starter next year and in the NFL in two years. I hope they enjoyed those snacks from the vending machine.
