I started my dogs on trifexis last month and it has knocked em out. I had even seen some in the house before I started it and now there is no sign of em anywhere. It also covers heartworms.

I use Bayer products. I use Advantix on the 15th of the month and advantage multi on the 1st of the month. The Advantix kills fleas and ticks, and the advantage multi is a heartworm preventative.

Trifexis doesnt cover ticks. I dont use anything on my boston terrier cause I have only seen 2 ticks on him in 3 years(inside dog) and my lab, I still have some K9 Advantix so I have been putting that on for ticks.

I just changed vets and she gave me a sample of a new Frontline product that states it kills fleas and flea eggs and larve within 1 hour . Frontline Tritak is the name. Most vets have quit carrying Advantix due that you can buy it over the counter now. Advantage Multi has become scarce as well due to the cost.

x2, its oral so you dont have to worry about the dog washing it off. It's a great product for flea prevention (it is flea prevention only though, no coverage for ticks)
