Tyler Russel ?

Postby SWAG » Tue Aug 21, 2012 9:39 am

WHat are your thoughts on Tyler Russell leading us into this season? Dan Mullen has been pretty quiet about how he has done in scrimmages and practice thus far. I did hear DM say in interview the other day that Tyler was in practice mode instead of game mode xduring the scrimmage. I have heard bragging on the offensive line by coaches so one would assume he is going to have some decent protection. Do we put the ball in the air alot more or still just throw enough to keep D honest and count on running game? I prefer the latter myself. DBs in the SEC are best athletes in the country. Just because Tyler is thought of as a thrower does not mean we have to throw 40+ times a game.

There will be more emphasis put on the passing game this season with veteran WR's vs a 4 man rotation at RB.

I expect at least 10 more passes a game than what we usually average.
Well he's try to go deep all the time. We will try a homerun or two but it'll mostly be 5-10 yds safe routes I'd venture to say for the most part.
