If you go up 61, take Highway 438 west about 10 miles south of Leland. Check mapquest for the complete route. It saves a good 20 minutes 'cause you bypass G'ville completely.

Once you clear the lake in AR, watch the right foot all the way to Pine Bluff. All those little towns are speedtraps like the little towns on 61 used to be (when it actually went through them). Dumas and McGehee are really bad news!

F&W Man, my wife drove to LR every week this summer, and finaly got it down to about 4.5 hours from Magee. Go 49 to Bentonia, from there take a left and go to Satartia and keep on going to Holly Bluff, then take a left and go to Rolling Fork, turn north on 61 there, gon on up and take a left and go through Yazoo NWR, then take a right on Hwy 1, stay north till just south of Grennville, then take Hwy 454( i think is the number) to the left and you will come out right at the bridge. Like i said she got it down to 4.5 from the Magee area to the west side of Little Rock. Hope this helps.

Grady and Gould, AR are bad news also. Be careful..
