ABOUT 120 MILES FROM VICKSBURG REGARDLESS WHICH SIDE OF THE RIVER YOU GO UP.

Oh, my bad

Dad gumit Quackers, you beat me too it. Guess I gotta start reading a bit earlier or later, which ever the case may be! Most folks are terrible with state abbreviations!

Vicksburg?

Postby Woodduckdawg » Fri Feb 17, 2006 10:25 am

Why are you going through Vicksburg? Unless you have you go that way I would head through the Delta to Greenville and cross there. Pretty much four lane with new HWY 49. Then you have two lane just after Lake Village to Pine Bluff (maybe 20 miles).

But if others have travel your route before and can vouch for its speed, go for it.

F&Wman it will take you a little over 4 hours to get there. I have been through greenville and through Tallulah. Here is a word of advice, if you go through Tallulah a 61 mph ticket (in a 55 mph zone) will cost you $151 and that was in 1999.

I no longer travel through the state of LA if I dont have too.

That's good info guys. I may change my route. Plus I just remembered the roads in LA are crap! Don't want to be on them any longer than I have to.

I'll still leave J-town around 6am

I was in school in Arkansas for 2 years... HWY 49 to Greenville is definitely the best way. It is 4 lane all the way until you get into Arkansas, then 2 lane for about 15-20 miles, then 4 lane the rest of the way. Going through Louisiana is the worst possible way...BORING and TERRIBLE roads. I'd say about 4-4.5 hours.
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.

Forty-five minutes, maybe a hour from Cleveland for me. It all depends on the wind.
