Very cool trout fishing video. Those guys were the pioneers of wade fishing with plugs.

I wish the islands still looked like that!! I fished Chandeleur two weekends ago and it looked like the surf on the east side was going to take over the island. Every trip out there the land mass is shrinking!!

That's good stuff right there. I still launch at the old Pip's marina to this day, although its a back down ramp with a yellow box and you pay on the honor system. My hunting camp is 10 minutes down the bayou from there. Guess being 32 is why I don't really know the name Rudy Grigar. Ill have to ask the ole man?

Blgros,

Old Grigar has a cool book, Alex let me borrow, called The Plugger. A lot of cool fishing history about the Chandeleur Island chain and some spots off of Galveston, TX. Rudy and his buddies pretty much invented the plug and plastic wade fishing game we like today. Cool stories about night wade fishing at Free Mason and the like!! Great read for sure!!

I'll have to look around for that book. Probably a hard one to find.
