^^ that is sig-worthy right there!!

Joel, you gotta pair the band with the call. Who knows if that call contributed to that band. But the possibility of the story is pretty nostalgic.
Never assume.

Joel,

You may have already tried this but I'd suggest you e-mail Danny Bystrak @ the BBL and see if he has any other info on that band. I found-out some more info than usually comes with an appreciation certificate on my brother's goose band from 1958.

It could possibly help authenticate their 'tie' to each other.

Kewl find and story - really unbelieveable calls! What a find in themselves.

Any updates?
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

By the time I decided it was ok to buy it, he had it on eBay. So I bid up to $30. Goy out bid in the last 2 minutes by a dollar.
It hurt a lil. But, I am emailing into the guy Ant mentioned just for the back story. I'll let you know.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Not saying you're wrong by any means because I know you do a lot of collecting calls, but that 1st call, is it a check majors or a jake gartner? Either way its a great find.

According to the AR Duck Hunter's Almanac (p 249 i think), it's a 1942-ish Chick Majors Dixie (the DIXIE brand is almost worn completely off).
