You looking a true mud tire that will dig half way to china/break your u joints? Go with vampire or an outlaw....

If you are looking to simply replace your stock tire? Go with the buckhorns, mud lites, etc.

If you are looking for a good all around mud tire that wont break your teeth on gravel road but still pulls really good? Go with a Zilla, mud bugs, outlaw radials, swamp witches.....

It also makes a difference what size machine you have.....

I picked the swamp lites over the mudlites and 589's and other big wooley booger axle breakers.... Unlike the mudlites and such, the tread pattern in close together..... Deep lugs and close pattern makes for alot smoother ride than my buddies mudlites.... Mud, sand, and rocks, I have been 100% satisfied!!! They clean extremely good on my ranger and I have not punched a hole in em yet..... Been on the pavement alot also an grips still look like new! I highly recommend them! I have the ranger 500 efi, 2" lift, 27" swamplites on 14" itp wheels.....

THis makes sense. My mudlites will pull really good. Rides does suffer. Cant really tell on anything less than a hard turn row or a paved road though. I'll probably get another set of mudlites for my Rubicon when these wear out.

a good all around tire is an outlaw. I've run them on my last 3 atv's and won't run anything else. They look like they'd be rough but they aren't. Just be sure you get the right ones for your bike's motor and capabilities.

I like 589's. They pull great and are tough as nails.

Mudlite XTR witht he weight of the UTVs and bigger ATV;s these days you just cant beat a good radial. Had a guy at Woods Tire in New Albany tell me they were the best all around atv tire there is. But they are kinda pricey so he doesnt stock them. I have a set on my Teryx and they are 3 yrs old and still look brand new. All I will ever own. Kinda like the BFg Mud Terrains for 4 wheelers, you get what ya pay for!

+another for swamp lite (26x9 all the way around on rhino). downside is they wear pretty quickly on pavement with a heavy machine (heavy custom metal cab).
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...

Ive got Zillas on a grizzly 660. I love them an have put them through everything. Havent let me down yet either.

I had the vampires on them and awesome tire, until you tried to go up something or go in reverse. You were either sliding sideways or not going backwards period.

Always want to look for a tire that has some kind of traction to go in reverse. Also want to consider the weight of each tire and strain it puts on the ATV/UTV. Alot of people put big tires and lifts that look good. But then break their axles and wonder why
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

I have owned nearly all of them, all on 4 wheelers. I have a set of mud lite XTR's on my foreman. They are now showing a lil wear and they were put on in 07 when I bought the wheeler. They ride good, and pull well in rice fields and such. I put 26x9 front, and 26x11 rear. I have no mechanical issues and they are durable. Just my opinion I think they would ride well on a heavy UTV being radials.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

I have a set of Mudlites on my Grizzly 660 and love them. We also have them at work on a Kodiak 450 and Ranger 800, per my recommendation. To me you just can't beat them if you want to do all kinds of riding. I have also heard good things about the Zillas and Bighorns, but I have not personally owned a set of either. If all you want to do is sho nuff mud riding than the Outlaws or Silverbacks will be your best bet, but I wouldn't won't them for trail riding. The 589's are a great tire, but a little outdated. They have come out with ways of making tires a lot lighter since they were in their prime. The Vampires are also a outdated.
