I know, I know, that is just one game and it's not important and all, let's look at Banks whole body of work this year. I'm impressed with Banks but I do think that the egg bowl showed just little bit that he may be a little overrated. Bumphis to me is probably the best athelete for TSBU.

So you draw your analysis from one game. I said Moncrief > Banks. Wallace is a young system QB who throws a TON of interceptions. I'm sure he'll get better, but as of today, he's not great. Maybe it is you who should remove the glasses.

Wallace does throw a good many int's, I will give you that. Moncrief probably should have won it. I never said that we need to look at just one game, but I think that one game did expose banks somewhat. He is a very talented player but tell me where he had a big game when facing competition this year with a winning record. Minus the picks Wallace had alot of standout moments against class opponents, LSU comes to mind.

Of course I like the fact that Wallace won, you don't and that is the way it is. But, I guess that if the maroon nation wants to think the trophy is tarnished by this recipient then so be it. We all know how they BELIEVE!

How many did Eli throw then?

Eli had 15 picks does that help your feelings? Bo's nowhere close to same league as Eli but I'd say out of those choices he's probly the best player. How could anybody that watched even part of the game say that banks isn't way overated?

All im saying is that i find it hard to believe 16 interceptions earn you the trophy. And I honestly didn't know about Eli, thats why i asked the question.

I don't think it was the 15, not 16 ints that earned him the trophy - which is the same number Eli threw in his Junior year - it was the 63.4% completion percentage, the 19 tds, the 2,843 yards passing, the 363 yards rushing with 8 tds and most of that being done with a hurt shoulder from the Tulane game in the 3rd game of the year....which is going to require surgery after the season. It was 5 tds in the Egg Bowl, it was 403 yds passing with no picks against Vandy, it was 310 yds with 2 tds against LSU in Death Valley, or 305 yds and a td against A&M, or 278 yds and a td at Arkansas.

Come on, give the guy his due....I agree, Moncrief probably should've won it but he wasn't nominated and QBs always get the blame and the accolades moreso than any other position. He turned the ball over too much but still had a dang good season. I was really impressed with him most of the time.

Just to be clear, I wasn't calling you a retard....what I meant was some folks are acting as if Wallace is a retard and a complete joke of a qb that had no business whatsover being near the Conerly.

Here's what I think - the voters recognized this OM went 2-10 last year, didn't win a freaking game in the SEC, we're picked last by everyone....Wallace came in and started every game and was a huge reason why this team didn't do what everyone expected them to do, which was be terrible.

Like I said, Russell is dang good but he didn't play Georgia, Texas or Vandy. Instead he got Kentucky, Tennesse and Troy. 4 of Wallaces picks came against Georgia and Texas. So if Russell had that many and had to play the same teams Wallace did, I wouldn't care if he beat out Moncrief....but Wallace beat out Banks and I sure as hell don't have a problem with that. Banks got burned left and right after he got away from the cream puffs.

I just don't see why state fans are so mad that Wallace won....and it seems they're mad that Moncrief didn't win not that Banks didn't win.
