If the BCS 4 team playoff was held this year, 3 of the 4 would be SEC teams.
If it was an 8 team playoff, we would have half the teams.

WRONG, the 4 team playoff system was implemented basically to hose the SEC. It does NOT guarantee the top 4 teams by rankings....so what would happen is probably more along the line of this scenario: The committee would pick ND, BAMA, Georgia and most likely Oregon (sorry Florida). They would put Georgia playing BAMA on one side of the bracket and ND and Oregon on the other to ensure that two SEC teams wouldn't go.webbmaster wrote:So all the big 10 and pac 12 whiners complained last year about the rematch. It instigated the push for a 4 team playoff and they got it.

i think his point has to do with the whole selection committee part...that part is designed to screw the SEC and give them a way to NOT have 3 of 4 SEC teams in, even if 3 of 4 are ranked in top 4webbmaster wrote:mmmkay. Point is there are 3 SEC teams right now in the top 4.
my thought or answer to that question...YES...if they allow a selection committee to be political it will be a farce we've yet to see in college football (even more than Miss State getting a grounding penalty waived b/c their receiver ran the wrong route...webbmaster wrote:Fair enough. The question then becomes will it become more of a joke than it already is?
