This is one rainy Monday I absolutely can't wait to get to work. You know what I'm talking about. Not going to let every state fan have it as most understand "NEVER" is a long time. As a matter of fact, it will be just two. The signs, Christmas Cards, and constant in your face stuff. Might even need some fat meat to put on my black eye....but it will be fun, fun,fun. And the forecast for basketball season looks like the rain ain't going away.

4. Enjoy the BBVA Compass Bowl. FYI- if traveling to Birmingham to watch the game, make sure you're packing. (The area around Legion Field isn't what I would call "safe").

Looking like we are headed to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl against Tulsa December 31, 2012 at 1430. State looks to be headed to Jacksonville, FL for the Gator Bowl against Wisconsin January 1, 2013.

I'm a Reb fan from as long as I can remember but never been anti-MSU. Man for man, MSU has the better team - bigger, stronger, more depth - but they didn't play as a team. Heart > hype anyday.

Too bad y'all couldn't hang on to Manny Diaz, big difference in your D this year from last.

Well, looks like we may be headed to the BBVA Bowl against ULM after all. Depending on which site you go to. Also, there is a flip-flop on whether State plays Northwestern or Wisconsin.

Not sure I want to play ULM.

there is a lot of smoke out there about Ole Miss landing in the Music City Bowl, Vandy in the Gator, and State in the BBVA, and the Liberty doesn't get an SEC team...

Brad Edwards at ESPN has said/predicted it and it's been discussed as source info on Rivals (not from posters but from reporters) that Music City wants Ole Miss and is pushing for it with SEC offices...I think the hinge is if Gator bowl took Vandy...not sure they could swing that kinda shake up...if Ole Miss was 7-5 maybe, but hard to imagine SEC office sending State to BBVA at 8-4. Of course, we are talking about the SEC office, not the BBB
