What kind of ammo in 45-70
Ive been shooting Hornady 300 Grain, but cant find it anymore. We have one of the best gun shops I have ever been in over here called Marks Outdoors, and they say they cant find it anymore. All they have now is Remington Core Lok in 405 grain and then the Hornady in 250 grain. What are you guys shooting?

LAwDawg thats what I always shoot in all my guns but cant find it in a 300grain for a 45-70

I have 2 or 3 new boxes of hornadys i will sell you. bought a 35 so have no use for them now. let me know if interested.

I use the 325 grain Hornady Leverevolution, in my NEF 45-70, and at 100 yards it will put 3 shots in one big hole. Kills on both ends though...

I saw a bow of those core-loks throw bullets all over the paper this weekend out of a 35 whelen for what its worth.

Im not a fan of Remington Core Lok at all, infact I shoot Hornady out of every gun I own all the way dow to my carry guns. Just having trouble finding them in 45-70 this year for some reason. Im stock pilling as much ammo as I can for every gun I own because of the way the prices have jumped. GOne up over $20 a box for 280 loads this year compared to last year
