I am supposed to trust a dude in the "guiding and outfitting business" that by his own admission "is still playing with the chemical makeup formula" of a product that he claims will take away a deer's sense of smell? Horse poopoo

just use vanillia, it works. killed three does down wind this year using vanilla as a cover scent.

just buy two things of cheap vanilla extract and mix it in a spray bottle with distilled water.

Couple guys at camp are using it and they say it works.jdbuckshot is correct smells just like vanilla and you can make your own or i told my buds to go buy some vanilla bathroom scent and see if that works. I think it's like anything else if the deer get used to associating a smell with trouble then they will catch on.

I had two does directly beneath the tree I was sitting in a couple of years back...came in on my vanilla trail and stopped where it ended. Am gonna steal some from the pantry.

i usually reuse an old scent killer bottles

just pour in two small things of the imitation cheapo vanilla extract and fill it up with water. and spray it on.

i have even used tap water.

some times you can find like a 6 oz bottle of the vanilla. i say the more potent the better.

i can pull my hunting clothes out of the drawer in sept. and they still smell like vanilla.

only thing is the yellow jackets like it.

+1. Just what I was thinking. That was back in the old days when Argo's first appeared on TV. That guy could shoot a bow

Never saw anyone get so fired up about shooting a doe. That was back before hunting shows were nothing but commercials.

There used to be a cover scent on the market called Quint's that was vanilla scented. A lot of hunters believe in it.

i used to use an old acorn cover scent years ago that smelled like vanilla. I never put that together but it makes sense. I think I will try that.
