Delusional Rebels 4-3 with win over mighty Auburn...
Finally, an SEC win --- after a long drought. 3 well played quarters by the Rebs. Second quarter loss of focus still a problem. Loved seeing the defensive halftime adjustments, which resulted in the Reb D pretty much shutting down the Auburn offense in the second half. And it was great not having any turnovers, while creating a couple by Auburn.
And another drought ended Sat --- the replay review drought. I couldn't recall the last time Ole Miss got the better end of a "review" by the replay officials in a situation that really mattered. In a historic moment, it happened Sat. And I was there to witness it. I'll be able to tell my grandchildren one day about this unlikely moment. What everyone saw with their own two eyes in the stadium and on the jumbotron replays on Jeff Scott's great catch and run for a TD in the 4th quarter, and what the officials on the field saw, was indeed confirmed by the replay precogs...err.... officials --- he never touched the ground --- TD Ole Miss. The fans gave them a well-deserved standing ovation. There was a seeming collective: "Atta boy --- see how easy that is --- just look at the evidence and only reverse if there is irrefutable evidence that the call on the field was wrong --- in other words just follow the rules, regardless of who benefits --- isn't that so much easier than trying to torture the rulebook, logic, reason, and all sense of fairness in trying to achieve a pre-determined, desired outcome --- just let yourself do the right thing --- it feels good, doesn't it."
Next up, after a break this weekend, are the wounded, but still wild Hogs. The Delusional Rebels will be traveling to Little Rock with the hope and prayer that we can just stay on the field with this well-coached Hog team. While victory seems like such a long shot, I think I'm gonna go to the game anyway, just in case... --- bigger upsets have happened after all --- BC over the Evil Empire on Flutie's hail mary; NC State over Houston and Phi Slamma Jamma; Ole Miss over Twolane earlier this season. So, ....... who knows, we might keep it within a 30 point spread. I know, I know, that's just crazy talk --- I'm delusional for even thinking that. I be so craaaazy.
But, what most don't realize is that I could have a secret weapon up my sleeve that could determine the outcome in the Rebels favor. My 5 year old niece was my and the Rebels' good luck charm this past Sat at her first college football game -- a victory for Ole Miss --- our first SEC win in many moons. So, I'm trying to line her up to go with me to Little Rock. I'm hoping the Rebel Athletics Administration will pick up the tab on our travel expenses. We'll see.

A little obsessed, are ya? Insecure? There is treatment and medicine for that.

is it ironic when a person uses an internet message board to call someone they don't know or have any accountability to a tool?

Cam, there are some, I guess, who just don't appreciate good sarcasm. But, I've (and every other Rebel here) taken enough grief so far this year over having rather meager expectations for my Rebels --- and have been called "delusional" by the MSU brain trust here for even thinking the Rebels could beat the likes of Tulane, UTEP, and even UCA --- never mind matching Mullen/MSU's previous "signature win" over Auburn ---- that I am rather enjoying making fun of these rubes. Hopefully, there will be more where this comes from. Its the gift that keeps on giving, all season long.

Perhaps it's those of you (old miss fans) that cannot take sarcasm either. It's a game, cam seems to forget that regularly. He's the board titty baby half the time. A fuggn game, it is.

My question isn't concerning the football team, since I have promised to not discuss until the Egg Bowl.
My question pertains to the southern belle homecoming queen ........... WTH ???

State has a great ball team this year... but as an Ole Miss fan it does feel FANTASTIC to FINALLY get that monkey off our back... Texas A&M was a BIG OL TEASE... ...WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!?!
Re: Delusional Rebels 4-3 with win over mighty Auburn...
I had to look this up to see what all the fuss was about.
Re: Delusional Rebels 4-3 with win over mighty Auburn...
I didn't imply u wanted to fight...I implied you are the tool for jumping on a thread and calling someone a tool the way you did; much the way what someone might call an "Internet tough guy" would do. Hence the pic, don't get your feelings hurt on the Internet when you start the name calling.grnhead1 wrote:Oh and It's sweet that cam and po monk take up for each other and I wasn't being an Internet tough guy i'll be glad to come to talk you cam at the egg bowl with no keyboard..
