I've got one. Well made and super easy setup. Not a PITA like an Avery... Best thing I ever did was sell my Avery!

How much does he charge? Aren't they built similar to an Avery?

Well I got a mud buddy that came with my boat and I set it up on the boat last night for the first time and I got to eyeballing a few things on it and I'm not sure how well I'm goin got like hunting out of it. I had a Avery on my last boat and loved it but this thing here I got a few things that I just didn't like about it and thought about selling it.

What don't you like about them? I've been in the market for a blind myself and have looked at those...

The way the top part that you would flip back it's either open or cloesed it's not like a avery where you can have a gap to look out of. It's a blind for a 18 foot boat and my boat is 18 foot and the material needs to be atleast another 12-14" longer and a little more with on the material sure wouldn't hurt either. you can only hunt off the one side witch thats no biggy. Then the way it lays in your boat. Mine has to hang off the side a little. I can't leave my trolling motor on my boat witch I know alot of ppl take there trolling motors off durning duck season but I still do a little fishing in the winter to.

If someone knows something I'm not doind please tell me. I bought the blind second hand and it's bran new and they might not have had it setup on the boat right.

I have a mud buddy blind and I'm not 100% satisfied with it. The issues you mentioned are issues with mine as well. If I ever am in need of another blind, I will get w Bert, I've heard good things about his blinds. More than likely would not go back with a mud buddy

Depending on the with of your boat, the mud buddy blind maybe too short once erected?

If your boat is only 44 inches wide or less, you will have to crouch when ducks are coming in.

If anyone knows of an easy fix for this, I'd like to know what it is. In my case, the Blind would protrude past the width of the boat if I were to make the blind taller so we don't have to crouch. Seems like a telescoping pole feature might work?

Overall the blind is very easy to use and I'm sure if a duck boat were wider, it would not be an issue?

I've got a 17ft boat with a 54in bottom. Would I run into these same problems you think?

The flip top can be adjusted relatively quickly to avoid having to crouch over. The only problem with having it up high is the big black opening it creates right in front of your face.
