Scratched out 10 by 8:00 with a new gun, mosquitoes, sun in my eyes, sweat in my eyes, and new brand of shells. That's my story and I'ma stickin' to it!

Killed a limit this evening. Heard one guy in Walmart bragging he had killed 85 birds on his morning hunt and wasn't the high man in the field. Said high man killed 117.

I said little over the limit huh and "It's just doves, nobody really cares."

anyone ever seen a pigeon with a band on each leg? Had one get winged today mistaken for a dove. Still got it alive though hoping it makes it fine. Turns out its a racing pigeon of some sort, hopefully its wing will heal fine and it can be released to make it to where ever it's supposed to be headed.

If I were the owner of a racing, message delivering, or talking pigeon, I'd make sure that sucker was safe in a cage on September 1.

An 18 year old kid took a coupla pellets to the face today at a MDWFP field...shot by a friend. Pellets did penatrate. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery. Hope a lesson was learned about shooting low birds as even my 15 year old said they where dangerous on Saterday. OUCH

Best hunt I've been on in years! We hunted Sunday afternoon with the first shot at 4 o'clock. I looked at my phone at 4:37 when the last bird was shot. All six of us had our limits. They came in groups of anywhere from 5 to 15. I couldn't imagine how many doves we would have killed if we had shot til dark!
