And playing "college football " anywhere that doesn't award scholarships to play is equal to coaching a sorority flag football team. So they are out.

Robinson may have a little success early running the ball but Saban will make the adjustments needed. Also it is hard to bet against Saban when he has this long to prepare for a specific team(ex title game last year).

LSU will take a step back this year (lose to Bama, USCe and one more at least). They are starting a true freshman at CB. Last year, LSU had amazing depth at DB. Graduation, the draft, attrition and weed have depleted the LSU secondary to the point in which one or two injuries could be very devastating.

This year will be similar to 2010 in which LSU grinds out really close wins against otherwise inferior competition and loses a few as well. I have to believe there will be a hangover effect from the beating they received on January 9, 2012 too. Oklahoma still hasn't fully recovered from the beating they received in the BCS title game by USC almost a decade ago now.

I am telling you guys looking at the Bama roster...they are going to be scary good on both sides of the ball.

Mud,

I agree, I am not buying the hype or drinking the Kool Aid for LSU this year. Too many unknowns, new defensive backs, new QB with no significant SEC experience (sorry Ole Miss), no true go to WR, lost best return man, injuries etc. The talent appears to be there, but how many times do top prospects all perform as expected?

I just don't see it, but then again, I am typing on duck hunting message board and am not a professional sports analyst.

Alabama 38
Michigan 6

Michigan will put 10 in the box. One small hole and it's "see ya." Play action fake and a nice 10 yard throw, and it's "see ya'."

Denard Robinson may not make it all 4 quarters.

LSU poor mouthing at it's best......you have a go-to WR(Beckham), DBs(Reid), any QB is better, and with all the swamp jumpers yall have anybody can return the ball, loaded lines on both sides of the ball, and the only weakness is.....who the heck is gonna run the ball outta all those backs!

Gimme a break

Not really poor mouthing. I really don't think we have enough proven talent. Obviously, there is talent. But can you count on so many unproven played to play up to expectations?

Qb has all world talent, but has never thrown a pass against Bama, Miss St, Georgia, USCe. Starting safety is battling injuries. Starting a true freshman cb. Beckham was great, but was not the focus last year.

No question we have the talent to make a run. But I am not counting on it.

I'm huge Bama fan but I'm not jumping up and down thinking we are gonna blow Michigan away. We're picked by 2 TD's but I'm thinking if we win, it will be by single digits. If our QB goes down, we go down. I couldn't tell you who our 2nd string QB is but he hasn't seen the field yet. We have a really good O-line and some talent on defense but not a ton of experience on that side. Michigan's quarterback is really good so our secondary will be tested. If they pass the test, we win. Anyway, I'm pumped for this weekend!

Correct me if im wrong, but didnt State beat the breaks off of them in recent years when we were'nt that great? Did Michigan pull a rabbit out of the hat recently?

No rabbit. Just a different coach. Different type of recruit. Different philosophy. Just won a BCS game. Etc.

Do you believe the performance of a team that played a few years ago is reflective of how that team will perform in the future?

For someone who tells people they aren't allowed to analyze unless they have played or coached college football, you sure need to do your homework.
