And I would add that Dan, in his first 3 seasons, has compiled a record almost as good as Nutt's first 3 years at Ole Miss:

I would have to point out here that Nutt had more talent than Mullen when he took over. I am not a fan of either team but I really think Mullen has done a good job and is headed in the right direction. Who knows how Freese is gonna be. He may be a great coach or he may be a flop. So far he is saying the right things but renewed enthusiasm in the program can only take you so far.

You are tired of Mullen being so cocky and folks outside of Oxford are already tired of Freeze's baptist preacher act. Freeze is just as dirty as every other college football coach. Freeze will do whatever it takes to bring in more talent. Not saying that is a bad thing but at least be honest about it. You let Freeze have a couple of two win seasons and see how long the rebel faithful keep talking about how "honorable" he is.

Yes Mullen is cocky and arrogant and he will use some foul language at times but with him you know what you are getting and he don't care if you like him or not.

Smoke, you apparently didn't get the memo. There was a $100 ante just to post in this thread, along with a requirement to have coached or played College football. Come on man, get with the program.

Since I am in violation of this rule as well, I feel compelled to issue the following limiting instruction to the board audience: In case you are one of the few who actually pay attention to anything posted here by PML, then please disregard his analysis and opinions expressed here regarding the Rebels' prospects for the 2012 season, as he is neither sufficiently qualified by experience to render said opinions, nor sufficiently objective due to his unhealthy allegiance to all things Ole Miss (and likely in an altered state of mind from consuming libations ). You should completely disregard everything he has stated and give it no weight whatsoever in your preseason prognostication deliberations.

With that said, hopefully my rule violation will not taint this thread enough to cause it to be dismissed.
