I'll have no need for paint as long as I can grow facial hair and keep a hat on my head. I do most of my hunting with just me and the dog, and the biggest problem we usually have is finding a tree that cast a big enough shadow for my fat booty to stand in.

I'm certain I can still take it to the plug after the kid gets the first shot if I've got 40 to choose from that are between 15 and 40 yards.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
and THAT is a duck hunt.

I wear a thin turkey hunting face mask and always have. Like every one else has mentioned, its amazing how much better the birds will work when every keeps their heads down and stays still. What I dont get about the face paint is why go through the extra trouble of having to scrub all that mess off your face. I can take my mask off in about two seconds, no scrubbing required.

why is it that someone who thinks they are cool cause they wear "stylish" facepaint to put portray a certain image is any different in concept than someone that stereotypes other hunters in order to portray a certain image they believe is what a duck hunter should be?

To me...these are equivalent...the guy that says, I don't use it but to each his own I kill ducks my way they kill em their way, we all in it for the same reason...or the guy that says, I use it and I don't care what everybody else and their hunting party does I think it's needed for how we are hunting and that's is it purpose, for the hunt...both are on the right track....the extremes to either side are one in the same to me, both ridiculous...

personally I hate wearing facemask and only wear them turkey hunting when I have to and I'm not gonna be uncomfortable while doing something I do for relaxation and recreation, much like I'm not gonna suffer not getting a dip on a deer stand b/c a deer might smell my spit, I'm gonna hunt wind correctly and keep my clothes clean and myself clean and enjoy myself and let chips fall as they may...so I will use paint if it's needed duck hunting for reasons of comfort, no other type hunting and I've seen it make a big difference in timber when hunting in groups in certain setups and I've hunted with a lot of people that are good duck hunters and really good outdoorsmen that do same as myself...stereotype if you wish

All the geniuses on here and nobody figured it out. The more face paint you buy the more duck costas and yeti stickers they give you for the black glass.

Wonder how many of the people with such strong opinions either way have stickers on their window. Any direct/indirect correlations??????

Edit: after thinking about it, As I said, i don't wear paint duck hunting, but I would rather walk into the sandwich shop with a guy wearing paint at 12:00pm and let him look like a "tool" for an hour than ride around with a guy that has 6 stickers on his truck and looks like a tool 12 months a year.
There will be a day....

So what we have learned here is that:
(A) There are a lot of killers on this board, a lot.
(B) If you choose to conceal your skin you are not a "true killer."
(C) The summit of being a killer is knowing "when to look up." It is in fact not learning and closely watching the animal you want to kill.
(D) If you do want to look up just hide in the shadows of the buck brush or look through the holes in your cap.
(F) The ego of self-proclaimed killers is currently being studied by scientists to see if it can be converted into a renewable resource to counteract the hot air that their mouths spew forth.
(G) I am a self proclaimed killer, who watches his prey. Who blows a lot of hot air.

Exactly what I was thinkin'. I'd imagine I could go nekkid, even without my spray on injun tan, if I hunted at some of the places the killers on this thread do.
