His winning percentage is off the charts.

I'm not sure he would leave dsu. Wonder what
They pay him?
Big, if memory serves, he was in the final two when Ole Miss eventually hired Bianco. I will always wonder how that would have turned out had they hired him. At one time (and this may still be the case), he had the highest winning percentage of any NCAA coach, at any level of any sport with like greater than 50 games played. Between Boo, Merchant and now Kennison, DSU baseball has received the rarest of blessings relative to coaches than can both coach and prepare you for life after baseball.

Is it like the DH rule in the majors for the world series? If the New Hampshire team is home, they both swing wood bats, but if the other is the home team they both use metal? That would be kind of cool.

Would explain why I've seen some BBCOR wooden bats lately.

Have yall seen the broken bats at the SEC tourny? Seems like I saw a couple during regular season as well. I think college and high school is headed towards using wood bats. Aluminum bats were meant to be a cost savings to schools because they could be used for several years. The business has grown into a giant. Everyone spends all this $$$ on bats now and really would be cheaper at this point to just convert to using wood bats.

The difference is the colleges don't have to pay for the equipment provided by Easton, Louisville Slugger, Mizuno, Nike, DeMarini, etc. They'll have to pay for the wood bats though. I saw State break two bats last week.

No, when we went in 04, there was a team that used all wood up to the WS. Once at the Series they just used aluminum like everyone else. They were from Mass. I believe.

Statesmen face MSU-Manketo today @2. Game can be seen on the ncaa website.

Interesting sidenote: these teams have faced each other one time previously in the cws. 1978, Kinnison was the shortstop.
