Depends on the type of fishing you're looking for. If it's snapper and other bottom fish, give Capt. Phil Hammond a shout. Several folks suggested him to me before I booked with him last summer. It was probably the most productive trip, when comparing time to fish, I've ever experienced. He puts the boat in from a beach, and it's a real short ride to get to fish. You'll easily be able to see the beach while you're catching fish instead of killing an hour or more each way on a boat ride. Kind of a unique experience, and everyone I know who've fished with him say the same. 850-258-8395

I lived in Destin during the summertime for 17 years and have chartered a lot of boats. The best one by far, not the nicest boat, but catching fish is JustInTime, Captain Chip. 850-837-2930.

Finest Kind 850-837-6629. Been fishing with Capt Tommy Browning for 7-8 years. He is the only captain I've been with that consistently catches fish. We caught a 65lb wahoo 3 years ago while bottom fishing and another 40lber last year.

What about someone looking for inshore fishing... reds, specks, flounder, etc... who is recommended for this?
