I doubt it. Biden was a trial balloon. Very common in politics. Get someone down the food chain to float an idea out there and gauge the pulic response. Those guys watch the polling numbers like a farmer watches the weather forcast.

This close to the election they would have used someone a lot further down the food chain than Biden. His spouting off was just to close for Obama. Read an article where the Republicans intend to use this selectively in those states where it is outlawed to show Obama as a flip flopper. I was surprised that 30 states have passed this or have legislation pending for this.

I just don't see how this really helps Obamalike some people think - North Carolina could go either way but they just had a 61% vote against gay marriage so you would think NC aint too happy with Obama right now.

Even if, hypothetically, Texas, Arky, Louisiana, MS, Bama, Tenn, GA, SC and maybe even FL were to secede from the other states (which will never ever happen by the way), who do you think will end up running this southern utopia? Politicians and special interest groups. You simply cannot get away from it.

Fixed it. The bad in all races are reproducing a lot faster than the good ones of us. Either we are ignoring or underestimating that factor, but it's alot of the reason we are in the trouble we are in. We would need the western 7 states of the midwest to even have a chance at out voting the minority element 50 years from now, maybe sooner. Not just talking about blacks either, since Texas and Florida are overrun with Hispanics.

The first order of business for most of us would be to cut entitlements like welfare cash benefits, ebt cards, medicaid, free/reduced cost lunches at public schools and utility bill payment programs. SS disability for the most part would end, too. You think your average Delta hand or west Jackson thug is going to peacefully pack up his Cutlass and head north to Chi-cargo when his check stops coming? Hell no, he is going to steal and kill as long as it takes to get "his". We don't have to secede to fix this, nor will secession fix it.

This is what the democrats want. They want to pull the republican conversation off the topic of the budget. Issues like gay marriage and taking god out of the pledge of allegiance. When the focus is on jobs fiscal irresponsibility the polling numbers are strongly in favor of the candidate who is not Obama. (I think his name is Romney?)
