Upcoming weekend series Ole Miss at State

Postby pondman » Mon Apr 23, 2012 9:23 am

Ole Miss followers?

Will Wahl (sp??)start Friday night? I talked with some folks yesterday that seem to think he might not make the Friday night start. Also, he does not seem to be as sharp as he was early in the year. Any idea why?

For what its worth, Ole Miss takes at least 2 of the 3 in Starkville this weekend. I just don't enough offense on the MSU side of the matchup.

Wahl will absolutely start Friday night unless he hurts himself somehow before then...he's had a couple rough outings since the "tired arm" battle couple weeks back..but I think he'll be fine

This series is a complete toss up. No way I could predict any outcome. Will not be surprised if UM takes all 3. Will not surprise me if Dogs win all 3. My first thought is MSU wins 2. These two pitchers are what you dream of. Just need to get some runs for these guys.

Best pitching matchup of the year friday night. I think state has a chance if OM plays defense like they are capable of.....turrible. we have absolutely no offense.

With only two hits today, both by Slauter, I bet our series avg was worse than the Tennessee series last week.

I never would have guessed 2 out of 3. MSU really needs to sweep Alabama next week. They will be lucky if they take a total of 2 games out of the Florida and Kentucky.

Hit .143 with 12 base hits

Why has Pollorena not been starting this year?
He did last year and was a decent starter I thought.

Polly did a great job. Anyone know to what extent Bradford is hurt? Pitching is keeping us in games for sure. I thought our hitting would come around as the injured players came back but now I am not so sure. I like the fact we do find ways to win which was not the case even earlier in the season. We have let 3 or 4 or 5 SEC games slip away from us. You add 3 wins to our record and subtract 3 losses and we would all be talking about this being a really good team. Got work to do but bats are easier to get hot than pitching turning on IMO. No matter what else.....great to beat those Rebels :D

Partial labrum tear for CT. Probably done for the year.

CT's injury will require shoulder surgery. He's out for the season. Hate it for the team, but mostly hate it for him. He fought hard to come back only to have something like this happen because he plays hard. Tough break, no doubt about it.
